One-Time Financial Plan

A comprehensive financial plan—before any long-term commitment
One-Time Financial Plan
Most financial advisors ask you to move your investments before doing any meaningful planning. We take a different approach.
Rather than asking you to trust us with your life savings upfront, we begin with a comprehensive, one-time financial plan. This allows both of us to clearly understand what working together would actually look like—before any long-term commitment is made.
Just as importantly, it creates accountability. By building the plan first, we define specific, actionable recommendations—so if you choose to move forward, we already know exactly what we’ll begin implementing on day one.
A Comprehensive, Holistic Process
Our planning process is designed to evaluate your financial life from every angle. We analyze all major areas of financial planning, including:
-
Investments
-
Insurance and risk management
-
Cash flow and budgeting
-
Debt management
-
Tax planning
-
Estate planning
-
Education planning
-
Retirement plans and employee benefits
These are the same core disciplines that form the foundation of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. The goal is to ensure nothing important is overlooked.
At its core, financial planning is about making smart decisions with your cash flow. You have a certain amount of income coming in—our role is to help you determine:
-
How much to save
-
Which types of accounts to use (401(k), Roth IRA, brokerage, etc.)
-
How to invest those accounts appropriately
We provide clear, concise, and actionable recommendations so you know exactly what to do with your money.
Think of this process like a comprehensive medical exam. Before making recommendations, we take the time to fully understand your current situation and your long-term goals.
Step 1: Data Gathering & Discovery (Approx. 90 Minutes)
We begin with a detailed discovery meeting where we gather and organize your financial information using sophisticated planning software.
This includes a comprehensive review of your retirement plans and employee benefits, such as employer-sponsored retirement plans, equity compensation, and insurance benefits.
This conversation focuses not just on your numbers, but on your life:
-
What does your future look like?
-
Do you plan to buy a home—or upgrade or downsize later on?
-
Do you want to have children or fund their education?
-
Are you supporting family members?
-
When would you like to retire—and what does retirement look like to you?
-
Using this information, we build a detailed financial model that reflects your goals, income, assets, and spending.
Step 2: Analysis & Financial Modeling
We use advanced planning software to analyze your situation, including Monte Carlo simulations that estimate your probability of long-term financial success.
If your current trajectory does not fully support your goals, we identify specific adjustments—such as changes to savings, spending, investment strategy, or major financial decisions—to improve your outcomes.
Step 3: Plan Presentation (Approx. 2 Hours)
In a dedicated presentation meeting, we walk you through:
-
A written set of personalized recommendations across all areas of your financial life
-
Specific guidance on how much to save, where to save, and how to invest
-
Your financial projections and probability of success
-
Clear, prioritized action steps
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand each recommendation.
Your Deliverables
At the conclusion of the process, you will receive:
-
A written financial plan with clear, actionable recommendations
-
A detailed financial projection outlining your long-term outlook
The recommendations are designed so that you can implement them on your own if you choose.
If you decide to move forward with an ongoing relationship, we already have a clear roadmap—allowing us to begin implementation immediately.
Timeline & Structure
The entire process is typically completed over 3–4 weeks and is conducted virtually via Zoom for convenience.
